Group picture of some 20 of our brothers and sisters in Christ at the end of our eight-weeks great adventure - "quick journey through the Bible" held in St. Joseph Kindergarten. Nine others were not in the picture. This was the third time we have run this program in St. Joseph Kindergarten. The great adventure began on Thursday, 15th October 2009 and came to an end on Saturday, 5th December 2009. This ending also mark a new beginning for our brothers and sisters in Christ who were “called” and joined us in this great adventure – the beginning of really enjoying reading and listening to the Word of Lord and developing a deeper relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. As St. Jerome said, and the Catechism of the Catholic Church (paragraph 133) affirms, ignorance of the Scriptures is ignorance of Christ. This video-based study is based on The Great Adventure study program by Jeff Cavins, and is designed to give the students a brief overview of salvation history, from Genesis through the resurrection of Christ and the establishment of the Catholic Church. Students also learnt about the spiritual benefits of Bible study and how to enter deeper into "His-story". In 2010, and in addition to the Thursday night sessions, we are planning to run this program quarterly over a weekend – from Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and evening, and Sunday afternoon. Each session will be limited to 30 person. Watch out for the announcement in this website and in our church notice board. God Bless. Facilitators: Frederick, Monica, Pauline & Jenny.
