Who we are

 

• The MYM (Miri Youth Ministry) consists of mainly 6 groups namely
  • Fiat Youth(Working Youths)
  • Young Couples (Under Fiat)
  • Singles' (Under Fiat)
  • Christ Teens (Teenagers, students - schools' MYCS)
  • Campus Ministry (Colleges, University students)
  • Choice Group

What we do

• The purpose of having this newsletter is to promote unity among these 6 groups and to reach out to more youth in the diocese.
• MYM groups have their meetings once every 3 months to update each other on activities and to get help (man power) for respective current events.

 Recent activities

• Fiat / Singles / Young Couples
  • Recently had their 1st Youth Prayer Meeting gathering on 16th May at St. Joseph's Cathedral.
    • Praise & Worship was led by Fr. John, and a short talk given by Fr. Andy
    • Plan to have this Youth Prayer Meeting every once a month
    • Purpose is to encourage youths (especially working youth) to praise, sing and pray as one youth community.
  • Had done a visit to the Old Folks' Home (23rd May)
  • had started weekly home rosary

  • Confirmation talks and the upcoming confirmation event at Mater Dei
  • Upcoming bible quiz / scripture reading
• Choice
  • had a Choice Weekend recently
  • Have ongoing monthly home rosary
